“Between the small Nebraska town where I grew up and my years in rural Alaska, to the cities in Europe I’ve lived in and explored, I have become fascinated with people from all walks of life. Years of artistic and photojournalism experience allow me to bring out the best version of my subjects. I have been humbled by the trust that each client puts in me as a photographer – the faith that I will capture their moments beautifully and memorably.”
Her recent self portrait was one of the five grand prize winners of #202Fotos (#202Creates Photo Contest) and was included in FotoWeekDC 2017 and in the 202Creates 2017 Exhibition at SXSW WeDC house in Austin, TX.
Rachel holds an MA in New Media Photojournalism from the Corcoran College of Art + Design and a combined BS in Business and French Language from The American University. She speaks French, Spanish, and some Arabic and accepts photography commissions outside of the United States.
