Washington DC Rainy Day Proposal in a Garden

Jackson planned to propose to his girlfriend Shaky under a blue sky in the Bartholdi Garden, across the street from the National Botanic Gardens near the Capitol Building. A gorgeous summer day ended up promising rain later in the afteroon. Fortunately, Jackson was able to propose - to Shaky’s happy surprise - and right as we began the engagement photos, the rain started to fall. What could have been a wash turned into an incredibly romantic date night session under the garden’s umbrellas. One of my favorite couples to photograph!
