This big, wonderful family makes my job so fun and easy - they are all smiles, giggles, and happiness! It was a fun-filled, beautiful fall evening for family portraits at Washington National Cathedral - the Bishop’s Garden. One of the things I love most about large family portrait sessions like this one are the wide variety of groupings we can do - mother-daughter, just the boys, just the sisters, mother with her sons-in-law, all the cousins…the sky’s the limit!
It’s been just over a year since I last saw Sojung and Inseok for their maternity session…and I had the enormous pleasure of meeting JooWon Jayden!!! I’ve never seen a kid this thrilled to sit on his papa’s shoulders. Happy Birthday JooWon!
I lovelovelove photographing this precious family! They are always all smiles, laughter, and fun! Harper even greeted me with a perfect curtsey/plié she learned in ballet. :O I had the honor of photographing her first AND second birthdays! Now she’s almost four and has an adorable little brother, Colin!
What more could a photographer ask for than two adorable little kids playing with bubbles and hide and seek at Montrose Park on a beautiful autumn morning here in DC?
I had the honor of photographing this lovely couple’s engagement AND their maternity announcement a few months ago. Last weekend we got together again for special 8-month maternity portraits in the beautiful Bishop’s Garden behind the National Cathedral. Congratulations you two!
What fun for the whole family! These beautiful people came down to Santa Rosa beach in Florida for fun in the sun and splashing around in the waves!
It was a spectacular evening, just after a downpour, the clouds were puffy and white, the sunset casting a pinky purple glow.
Andre treated his parents to a family portrait session during their visit to DC. We spent the hour strolling through the Smithsonian Institution’s lush Enid A. Haupt Garden, golden sunset backlighting the deep green plantlife. It was nearly 100° by sunset, but a gentle breeze helped keep us cool and made the evening all the more beautiful.
I can’t remember a more photogenic family…they were all smiles and happiness, and we even got a few giggles out of Raylah! Congratulations Cherry and Roosvelt!
It’s giggle-filled playtime sessions like these that make me even more thankful to be a photographer - and you’ll see, I found my new assistant!
BONUS: we got to see Kai get up close and personal with his sister for the first time - very touching moments indeed.
~ A good laugh is sunshine in the house. ~
Attempting to get their dog to lay with dignity in Sharon’s lap, we burst
out laughing at him laying like a big baby instead!
~ Precious and sweet like a little flower ~
Everything is more fun with bubbles - not to mention these girls’ stunning gowns! Thank you for a lovely afternoon narrowly dodging a storm and ending up with warm memories.
